Connect with a Ministry

Our Ministries

Jesus told us, his disciples, “let the greatest among you become as the youngest, and the leader as one who serves” (Luke 22:26). One of the most important values of Christian Heritage is our mission to serve others. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries, from cleaning the church facilities, to preparing the church announcements. Here are some of the areas where you can serve!

CAPS, CWEM, & YMI

The Community Academic Para School (CAPS) was established in 1988 as an after-school enrichment program, addressing the educational needs of at-risk youth grades 3-12 in Chicago’s Greater Grand Crossing Community. In the summer of 2014, the CAPS program shifted focus and launched the Center for Wealth Education and Management (CWEM), to begin aggressively tackling the challenges facing at-risk youth regarding financial literacy. Financial literacy is often only taught at a few schools or extracurricular programs that many of our youth cannot access. CWEM’s goal is to transform the mindsets of youth, their families, and their communities for lasting economic leadership. In 2021, Dr. Deena launched the Young Millionaires Institute (YMI) under the CWEM umbrella to teach a wealth mindset to the next generation of millionaires.

Youth

If you spend any time around CHTC, you'll quickly learn one thing: we love youth. They're smart. They're funny. They're bold. They're bursting with potential. And God loves them just as much as adults--there is no junior Holy Spirit!

That's why youth are such a huge part of our ministry. We want to guide our youth in developing a personal faith in Christ as they step into their specific roles in the story He's writing with their lives. We work hard to create environments that engage them in good conversation about God, encouraging them to ask questions, search out answers, and truly learn to listen to His leading in their lives. As our name depicts, we believe it is our responsibility to train our youth on how to walk in the destiny the Lord has set for them, and not be deceived into accepting what the world offers. We are preparing this generation to fight for what rightfully belongs to them: their God-given identity.

MUSIC, AUDIO, AND PRODUCTION

One of the greatest opportunities we have to connect with God is through worship. Lifting praise and adoration to our Lord is an integral part of Christian Heritage. There are plenty of ways to serve; both our band and our praise team are comprised entirely of CHTC members.

During our worship experience, there's also a lot that goes on behind the scenes. Whether it's mixing audio or manning a camera, consider serving on our audio and Contact Minister Jerard for more information!

PAK MEN'S MINISTRY

Priests and Kings (PAK) is the men's ministry at Christian Heritage Training Center. Our mission is to reach and build up males with the gospel of Jesus Christ, connecting them to their calling as priests and kings, ultimately helping them to thrive as the men, sons, brothers, husbands, and fathers that God created them to be.

There are three pillars that are key to the mission of PAK.

Ministry - equip men to develop and exhibit personal relationships with Jesus Christ through prayer, study, and application of God's Word.

Fellowship - engage with men through discipleship and activities that will help them develop leadership attributes for advancing the kingdom of God.

Mentoring - nurture men and boys through authentic connections and impactful programs.

PAQUE WOMEN'S MINISTRY

Priests and Queens (PAQUE) is the women's ministry at Christian Heritage Training Center. Our mission is to reach and build up females with the gospel of Jesus Christ, connecting them to their calling as priests and queens, ultimately helping them to thrive as the women, daughters, sisters, wives, and mothers that God created them to be.

There are three pillars that are key to the mission of PAQUE.

Ministry - equip women to develop and exhibit personal relationships with Jesus Christ through prayer, study, and application of God's Word.

Fellowship - engage with women through discipleship and activities that will help them develop attributes for advancing the kingdom of God.

Mentoring - nurture women and girls through authentic connections and impactful programs.

USHERS

Our usher ministry helps to conduct worship services and events in an orderly fashion. They greet and welcome guests, assist them in finding their seats, help guests find the restroom and other facilities, and more.

HELP MINISTRY

The help ministry at Christian Heritage serves those who need a helping hand. This involves visiting and praying for the sick and those in need.
